About the event
The Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, Gender Expression and Sex Characteristics (SOGIGESC) Unit within the Human Rights Directorate (HRD) will be hosting its Annual Conference, at which the Unit will present the work carried out during the last year, in achieving the measures outlined in the LGBTIQ Equality Strategy and Action Plan 2018-2022, followed by two panel discussions. A performance by Noah Fabri based on his performance ‘Huma Min Huma?’ will introduce the theme of the first panel.
The Conference, entitled Diversity as strength: Putting LGBTIQ equality into practice is to be held on Monday, the 5th of September, between 08.30 hrs and 13.00 hrs, at Cettina De Cesare Hall, Intercontinental Hotel in St. Julian’s. Kindly be aware that physical attendance is limited and thus it is important to confirm your attendance at your earliest and by not later than Wednesday, 31st of August 2022.
It will include the presentation of the annual report, a performance by Noah Fabri, and two panel discussions, the first focusing on the experiences and challenges still faced by non-binary persons and the second focusing on how to better equip Malta to host Europride next year. A networking lunch will follow.
